November 3, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Advanced Internet Technologies (http://www.ait.com) has introduced an online meeting/learning application, the company announced this week. The application, known as “meeting bowl”, is a “collaboration application that allows users to host and attend online meetings, seminars, or classes”.

meeting bowl allows users to deliver live or recorded audio and video presentations and can be used for “eLearning, eTutoring, and web seminars”. The system can be accessed from Internet capable computers and there is no software requirement. Features of the system include chat and a whiteboard. The presenter is able to share new data and edit content during a presentation, and presentations can also be recorded by end users who need to review them.

“Our customers asked for a solution that they could use or resell that would allow any size organization to conduct computer based training, hold meetings, and collaborate. We’re happy to say that we delivered all of that and more,” explained AIT’s VP of Product Development and Senior Manager, Avery Skelton.

According to research company Gartner, demand for information sharing is creating significant growth for collaboration technologies, suggesting that between now and 2011 the web conferencing market will grow at a rate of 23%, and the team collaboration software market will grow 15.9%.
