September 28, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider AIT (http://www.ait.com) is now offering pay-by-phone as an option, the company announced today. AIT has developed a payment processing application for organizations that allow their customers to pay bills by phone or over the Internet. The system, iCallPay, also facilitates billing and “can be set up in days”.
'Timely collection helps creditors avoid costs associated with collections, like the paperwork of pushing out past-due reminders and the expense of mailing,' explained Clarence Briggs, AIT's Chief Executive Officer. 'Most customers want to stay current, too; pay-by-phone lets them pay anytime, anywhere using either checks or plastic.'
According to the company, iCallPay eliminates a number of issues related to mailing payments. 'Sometimes life happens and your best intentions of sending an on-time payment are short-circuited,' added Briggs. 'A bill is inadvertently overlooked, someone goes out of town as the due date approaches; these things happen, and pay-by-phone is a failsafe against things that can mess up an individual's credit.'
