June 2, 2007
June 2, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider AIT (http://www.ait.com) has partnered with Barracuda Networks, the company announced this week. The partnership permits AIT to sell Barracuda Networks products.

“I am excited about this partnership,” explained AIT’s Product Manager, Mr. Bill Harrison. “It is a perfect match with AIT’s product line. Barracuda Networks application security appliances allow systems network administrators to concentrate on more important tasks than dealing with spam and excessive web usage. The Barracuda Web Filter can be installed in seconds and shows a return on investment in days.”

According to AIT, the Barracuda Web Filter “allows organizations to monitor internet traffic, improve productivity, cut costs and lessen bandwidth consumption.” It allows administrators to set up users and user groups, block access to certain sites or provide warnings about certain sites, as well as stop users from searching for pornographic images. It also represents a “perfect solution for the reduction of spam”. A single Barracuda Spam Firewall serves 30,000 active email users and blocks 95% of spam emails. “Within 24 hours of installation, the Barracuda Spam Firewall blocked over 200,000 spam emails. More than 90% of the email we were receiving was spam,” explained AIT’s CIO, Mr. Mike Roberts.
