December 14, 2006
December 14, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider and domain registrar Go Daddy (http://www.godaddy.com) has enjoyed four months of consistent growth in the SSL market, currently taking 10.5% of the overall market share for Certificate Authorities.

The figures were released by web hosting industry monitor Netcraft in its report for November. Netcraft also predicted Go Daddy’s growth in the area would continue. “Go Daddy has shown impressive growth since becoming a Certificate Authority two years ago. With its current rate of growth and the recent consolidation in the SSL market, Go Daddy is on track to become the number two players in the SSL market worldwide within the next year,” a Go Daddy announcement quoted Netcraft industry analyst Mr. Rich Miller as stating.

Netcraft went on to highlight the fact that Go Daddy catered for “2985 new SSL-enabled websites” in November, doubling the number for the previous month and nearly doubling the performance of the next-base SSL provider. “The certificates we offer are priced right and easy to use, but we believe the advantage for our customers is our Customer Care service,” explained Warren Adelman, Go Daddy’s President and COO. “SSL certificates are a key for e-commerce and we not only have the 24/7 support, but we offer real people who can talk our customers through the process quickly and easily,” he added.
