Web Hosting Provider GeekStorage Announces R1Soft Partnership

June 16, 2008
June 16, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Web hosting provider GeekStorage (http://www.geekstorage.com) has partnered with R1Soft (http://www.r1soft.com), it was announced today. R1Soft will provide “enterprise-level Continuous Data Protection (CDP)” for GeekStorage’s hosted websites. Every NAS device on the GeekStorage network has been installed with CDP.

“With the deployment of R1Soft’s CDP, we’ve taken yet another step to ensure our geeks are provided data backups that are second to none in the industry. We are excited to be deploying this solution and we look forward to the additional protection it provides our geeks,” suggested a statement from the company.

R1Soft’s CDP server monitors changes to a hard drive as they occur. This reduces the time it takes for backups to complete to only minutes. In addition, the application allows Webmasters the ability to restore individual files, or tables within a database, from multiple restore points.
