Web Hosting Provider Go Daddy Combines Quick Blog and Quick Podcast

August 16, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Go Daddy (http://www.godaddy.com) is combining two of its products, Quick Blog and Quick Podcast, into one simple tool. The move is intended to make blogging and podcasting easier for the average user, the company announced yesterday.

“Quick Blogcast allows people to tell their own stories with audio, video, photos and text over the Internet,” explained Go Daddy’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Warren Adelman. “It’s a great way to let people around the corner or around the world know what you or your business are doing.”

According to Go Daddy, who quote Technorati, around “1.4 new blogs are created every second of every day” adding to the more than 97 million blogs worldwide. Quick Blogcast is intended for professionals who want to “share ideas or promote their companies” and is “great for people who want to publish text and syndicate audio or video content”.

Quick Blogcast features 50 different design templates that can be modified and customized. Quick Blogcast allows users to blog remotely from a mobile phone or PDA. It also allows users to “weave in news stories and other content” using “Really Simple Syndication” (RSS) feeds. More than one author can have access to one blog.

Go Daddy caters to individuals and businesses providing a variety of domain name registration and web hosting services. The company manages more than 23 million domain names adding, renewing or transferring a domain name to its servers every 1.3 seconds.
