The highly efficient operation is designed to enable faster services for Go Daddy's Web hosting and e-mail customers in Asia. The facility accommodates Go Daddy's rapidly expanding customer base, which already exceeds 8.4 million people worldwide.
In recent years, the world's largest Web host provider, also the world's top domain name registrar, has grown its customer base exponentially in places like Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, regions that account for 42 percent of the Internet population.
Go Daddy customers whose websites run through the new Singapore data center will afford their local visitors faster website load times, based on the distance the data is travelling.
