October 11, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Go Daddy has announced it is offering web site design for .MOBI web sites. The company has modified its WebSite Tonight website builder so that it now provides features required to develop a .MOBI site.
.MOBI websites are optimized for mobile devices such as mobile phones and PDAs that allow people to retrieve website content while on the move. WebSite Tonight allows developers to create pages that load quickly into such devices and which can be viewed through the smaller screens they offer.
With more than 100,000 .MOBI names registered during the early stages of the recent .MOBI landrush, the extension has been an immediate success. General registration for the extension begins today (October 11, 2006) and its success is expected to continue. "With more than a billion wireless phone users estimated worldwide, there will be more and more demand for mobile content,” explained Founder and CEO of GoDaddy.com, Mr. Bob Parsons. “Incorporating dotMobi templates into WebSite Tonight is another example of an innovation available only from Go Daddy to help you get in on the mobile Internet revolution."
