December 22, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider GoDaddy.com (http://www.godaddy.com) has added a photo album and photo sharing to its suite of services, it was announced yesterday.
The company has introduced Online Photo Filer, an “easy-to-use method for sharing photos on the World Wide Web”. The system enables users to store and present images on a specialized website at their own domain name and allows visitors to view images. The service allows single photos to be uploaded and can facilitate entire directories uploaded at one time.
"The idea is to allow all digital camera owners to share their images, online and in print, without the fuss," said Warren Adelman, GoDaddy.com President and COO. "There are other photo-sharing sites online, but most make you use their long and impossible to remember URLs, or they make your friends give up information to view your photos. With Online Photo Filer, you just provide them your personalized domain name."
