Web Hosting Provider Host Department Launches “Server Stabilization Program”

March 16, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Host Department (http://www.hostdepartment.com) will launch a “Server Stabilization Program” around the end of March 2006. The program is intended to optimize the performance of its Windows and Unix Platforms and the company has acquired six blade servers with Dual Intel Pentium Xeon 2.6 GHz and 4 GB Memory to facilitate load balancing optimization.

Host Department will migrate to its new blade servers over a period of 3 to 4 weeks in an automated process which, according to the company, will have no impact on customer accounts. To accommodate clients’ applications Host Department will establish specific servers for Cold Fusion, ASP.NET and CFMX, ASP, PERL and PHP.

“The server optimization (load balancing solution) is expected to improve servers’ performance and stability. We will monitor the account migration process on a 24-hour basis, to ensure the smoothest migration process," suggested Ivan Brunetti, Host Department’s Technical Manager.
