Web Hosting Provider Hurricane Electric Doubles Colocation Facility Capacity

November 3, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Hurricane Electric (http://www.he.net) has doubled its colocation facility capacity, the company announced recently. A result of the completion of the second phase of its build out, Silicon Valley-based facility’s current capacity is now twice that available six months ago.

The initial build out of Hurricane Electric’s facility sold out almost immediately as a result of increased demand and the company brought forward the second phase. The company has added five more private suites and hundreds of cabinets. “Business is booming; the response to our new colocation facility has been overwhelmingly positive and demand for colocation space is very strong,” explained President of Hurricane Electric Mr. Mike Leber. “We were astonished to see how fast initial capacity sold out at our new facility and are excited to have a 208,000 square foot facility that will allow us ample room to increase capacity as future demand continues to grow.”

Hurricane Electric’s new facility offers HVAC environmental systems with upflow air conditioning units, uninterruptible power and back-up generators, high-tech security and video surveillance and a card key system that monitors and limits access.
