Web hosting provider Media Temple has added the latest version of the Parallels Plesk panel to it Virtual Private Server (VPS) options. The inclusion means its VPS hosting customers are now able to utilize both Plesk versions 12 and cPanel 11.42.

Media Temple has added the latest version of the Parallels Plesk panel to it Virtual Private Server (VPS) options. The inclusion means its VPS hosting customers are now able to utilize both Plesk versions 12 and cPanel 11.42.
Established in 1998, Media Temple employs a staff of 230 U.S.-based employees and caters to a range of customers in around 100 countries. These include web developers, web designers, and "digital entrepreneurs", as well as large corporations like Red Bull, Nike, Diesel and Under Armour. Alongside web hosting, the company's services include domain registration and cloud services. It currently manages around 1.5 million websites.
Media Temple and Parallels have had a longstanding relationship and the introduction of Plesk 12 comes a month after the technology was launched at HostingCon 2014. The launch comes alongside a range of enhancements designed to enhance Media Temple's customers ability to "manage their business online". These include the introduction of Fail2Ban and the ModSecurity web application firewall to enhance "server-to-site security" and protect email. The company has also launched a new WordPress Toolkit which makes it easier for customers to manage WordPress sites.

To sharpen our control panel offering with the most current version of Parallels Plesk was the next logical step after recently adding cPanel to our VPS product.”
