June 29, 2007 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Web hosting provider Pipe Ten (http://www.pipeten.com/) is offering Open Source (OS) software through its Windows and Linux shared and dedicated web hosting accounts, the company announced recently. The UK-based provider is offering a “large selection of the best open source software” which will be available through their customers’ web hosting Control Panels.
Pipe Ten’s customers will be able to install website applications “with just a couple of clicks” and the software available includes blogs, content management systems, forums, shops, support systems, and photo galleries.
“Following some of the feedback we got from our recent customer survey we found that more and more developers are turning to the popular open source scripts and applications as the basis of their websites,” explained David Hooper, Pipe Ten’s Technical Facilities Manager. “We thought we’d just make remove laborious installation process that our customers have to go through and allow them to easily install the most popular applications within just a couple of clicks”.
