The company, which was established in 1999, has registered offices in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. The company prides itself on being one of the first to offer a "fully automated web hosting solution" and its "constant development" of web hosting offerings. Its new SSD offering targets businesses whose websites are "mission critical".
SSD drives have no moving parts and are therefore significantly faster than the “spinning disk” type of servers utilized by more traditional shared hosting options. As a result of SSD implementation, servers have faster access to data, meaning UKHost4U.com's customers will experience a significant increase in website performance. In addition, a lack of moving parts means SSD-based hosting is more reliable. UKHost4U has introduced 3 new SSD packages with varying resources, each designed to meet its customers' varying requirements. These plans also benefit from "unlimited bandwidth, unlimited POP3/IMAP accounts, webmail facilities, forwarding and auto responders".
