August 22, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider UnitSpeed Host is offering a 30-day free trial of its remote backup service, the company announced recently. The service transmits compressed and encrypted data over the Internet to the company’s remote data center vaults, where it can be retrieved on a round-the-clock basis. Data can be restored to the original machine the data was stored on, or “any machine that has been authenticated to receive the data”.
UnitSpeed Host’s service operates with most popular operating systems including Win 2003, Win 2000, and Windows NT (95 / 98 / ME / NT / 2000 / XP / 2003). It can also be used with Novell Netware, Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris and Apple Mac OS, as well as other systems that support java2. UnitSpeed Host’s service also permits backup of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL database, Lotus Domino and Lotus Notes databases.
