September 16, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider Web.com's site builder and hosting suite is to be sold across the USA in a number of retail outlets, the company announced recently. SAM'S CLUB, Costco and OfficeMax join a retail agreement that began in July and also includes Staples, Office Depot, CompUSA and Amazon.com.
"The addition of SAM'S CLUB, Costco and OfficeMax significantly extends the availability of Web.com's Site Builder & Hosting Suite," explained Jeff Stibel, President and CEO of Web.com. "We are very excited to be on the shelves of these retailers and look forward to providing their customers with the tools they need to create and maintain a strong online presence for their small business or personal needs."
Web.com's product allows customers to register a domain name, build a website and acquire hosting. After the initial hosting period, customers are billed a standard recurring monthly fee to maintain their website. In addition, Web.com offers free search advertising to help customers market their website.
