Digital Pacific has optimized its Internet route selection through the deployment of an Intelligent Routing Platform. The company, which operates a global network of five data centers, has headquarters in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The platform, developed by Sunnyvale, California-based Noction, is a complete BGP automation platform designed to improve the performance of web hosts' networks. It has been deployed in Digital Pacific's Sydney data center.
Digital Pacific was established in 2000 and caters to individuals and businesses of all sizes. It offers a range of services including shared and reseller hosting alongside Virtual Private Servers (VPS) and dedicated server options. Noction was established in 2011 and has a presence in Europe, North America, and Asia. Its Intelligent Routing Platform (IRP) makes decisions on which global Internet routes to take for optimal performance. Decisions are based on "real-time network performance data across multiple IP network connections", and the system automatically optimizes routes. Noction IRP also reduces costs by utilizing providers as "cost-effectively as possible".
"Over the past few years our network has grown at a phenomenal rate and we are always looking for ways to ensure our network performance is optimal," explained Digital Pacific's founder Andrew Koloadin. "The best networking hardware alone is not good enough to maintain a reliable network as there can be issues with routes that are out of our control. Noction’s Intelligent Routing Platform (IRP) allows us to select the best route possible from our bandwidth providers, maintaining our high standards and ultimately keeping our customers happy."
