Web Hosting Solutions Provider Tranquil Hosting Announces New York City Data Center
Web hosting solutions provider Tranquil Hosting has announced the launch of a data center facility in New York City, United States. Tranquil Hosting, which has headquarters in North Carolina, United States, offers a range of products and services including ecommerce, dedicated server hosting, cloud hosting and colocation. The company’s latest facility has become a part of a network which includes US data centers in Virginia, California, Washington DC and North Carolina.

Tranquil Hosting’s new facility will spearhead its efforts to bring Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) options to the New York area. The center offers Tranquil Hosting’s customers “unparalleled connectivity” to New York’s financial institutions and other businesses, and also offers “direct connections” to the SFTI Network at the New York Stock Exchange, Telx's Financial Business Exchange, and the NYIIX carrier-neutral IP peering exchange. The center’s robust security measures include biometric access control, while its location mitigates risks such as flooding.

"Customers looking for latency-sensitive cloud deployments will have access to one of the best-connected data centers," explained Mark Price, Tranquil Hosting’s CEO. "Our proximity to Wall Street offers a solution for those focused on high frequency trading presence, fintech, ad exchanges, or connectivity into one of the largest and most active internet exchanges. Our private connection to Tranquil’s Ashburn data center in the Washington DC area is a plus, directly linking two of the most important cities on the East Coast."
