Web Hosting UK (WHUK) has announced the launch of an enhanced network monitoring and alert service.
Established in 2001 and based in Maidenhead, Berkshire, United Kingdom, WHUK offers a range of web hosting products and services to customers of all sizes. These include Linux and Windows shared hosting, reseller hosting, cloud hosting, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), and ecommerce hosting. The company also offers dedicated servers with add-on services that include SSL and offsite backup solutions.
WHUK’s new monitoring and alert service enables its dedicated server customers to monitor websites easily through instant alerts that are sent when web services become unresponsive or when flaws are encountered on a server. Alongside an internal monitoring function, users can set up additional checks based on their own time preferences from their server control panels. The service checks CPU load and provides email notification of issues alongside ongoing free technical support.
WHUK’s network monitoring and alerts service ensures good quality services are delivered end users. The service covers a range of aspects of server performance, in particular addressing issues caused by new technologies that lack maturity and might therefore be prone to breaking down. Monitoring intervals of 30 minutes between checks are offered free of charge, while intervals go down to only 1 minute intervals. Issues are emailed both to the user and WHUK’s Server Monitoring Team.
