A2 Hosting and the creators of Jetpack have formed a partnership. A2 Hosting, which has headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States, was in the news early this year for adding Windows hosting to its suite of services. Established in 2003, the company now offers Windows hosting alongside Linux hosting options, with packages that include shared, dedicated servers, VPS, and cloud and reseller hosting. It also offers MYSQL and PhP hosting alongside web development services. A2 Hosting’s strategic partnership with Jetpack means customers will now “automatically receive Jetpack ‘Personal’ at no extra cost”.
Jetpack is a product of Automattic Inc., the company that developed a range of solutions including WordPress.com, and WooCommerce. Jetpack enhances WordPress – the internet’s most popular Content Management System (CMS). Jetpack’s tools enable WordPress users to “design, promote, and increase the security of their websites”. A Jetpack ‘Personal’ plan facilitates one-click backups and site restoration and spam filtering. It also provides a video content delivery network. Jetpack ‘Personal’ gives users “priority chat and email support from Jetpack's WordPress and security experts”. A subscription to Jetpack ‘Personal’ usually costs $39 annually.
