A2 Hosting has launched its new ‘A2 Optimized Plugin’. With head offices in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States, A2 Hosting was established in 2003. The company has a long tradition of providing Linux-based services with a strong focus on managed VPS hosting. It also offers shared and reseller hosting alongside domain registration services. A2 Hosting was in the news at the beginning of this year for its introduction of Windows-based hosting. Its new plugin will be compatible with WordPress 5.
WordPress is an Open Source Content Management System (CMS) that is used by companies and individuals to create websites of a range of complexities. The software powers a staggering 26% of all websites currently available on the Internet and there are around 1.1 million new registered WordPress-based websites every 6 months. WordPress 5 is the latest iteration of the CMS solution and entered beta in October of this year.
A full release of WordPress 5 is due shortly and it offers some radical new features and improvements. These include API enhancements, and improvements to the custom themes users can leverage to build their websites. These improvements make the solution more intuitive to use. A2 Hosting specializes in WordPress hosting and its servers have been optimized in readiment for WordPress 5’s arrival.
