November 8, 2007
November 8, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – WiredTree (http://www.wiredtree.com), a leading provider of Managed Dedicated and Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting solutions, announced today it has selected 427 LaSalle Street in Chicago, USA for its most recent datacenter expansion.

The new datacenter – which provides up to 60,000 square feet of conditioned datacenter space for WiredTree to move into immediately – will allow the company to expand its product and service offerings while still maintaining its rigid quality control standards.

“After an extensive evaluation process, we selected this facility because it has the redundant infrastructure and controls in place that our mission-critical hosting requires,” said Zac Cogswell, WiredTree president. “Not only has the facility been recently renovated, it’s located just a couple of blocks from our corporate headquarters in downtown Chicago.”

The new facility provides WiredTree with three 3,000 AMP 480Volt 3 Phase ComEd electrical feeds from multiple power sub-stations; three 2-megawatt electrical generators; four 500KvA UPS systems; and four 300-ton chillers. The new datacenter also provides 24x7 security staffing, including digital security cameras, a key card access system, and data tracking and recording.

Additionally, the facility has automated logic monitoring of all electrical equipment, as well as connectivity to multiple backbone providers, including Savvis, Level3, AT&T, Qwest, XO, Sprint-Nextel, Verizon, Abovenet and Cogent.

“Our new datacenter will allow us to continue to both serve our existing client base and expand our network to additional Tier-1 providers,” said Cogswell. “It’s always been our goal to provide the latest technology – whether it’s datacenter capabilities or server hardware – to meet the growing needs of our customers. This new facility is latest step in that process.”
