WireNine Rolls Out R1Soft Continuous Data Protection

January 8, 2009
January 8, 2009 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – WireNine.com, a privately owned provider of Linux-based shared, reseller, semi-dedicated and dedicated cPanel web hosting, today introduced R1Soft® Continuous Data Protection® (CDP) on all servers in its Dallas, Texas colocation facility.

The introduction of R1Soft CDP has allowed the company to phase out the RSYNC backup solution, which offers less flexibility and does not enable end users to manage their own backups and perform restorations. With R1Soft CDP, servers can operate at full capacity without a significant performance impact during the backup process.

Users can now manage backups through their cPanel control panel interface. Full backups are created four times each day, and up to 28 previous restore points are automatically archived – allowing users to access an entire week of backups.

“Whether it’s a disaster or just accidental data loss, the ability to access such a vast assortment of restore points is vital functionality that we are excited to offer to our customers,” said Ali Khan, WireNine.com founder. “R1Soft allows us to take data protection to the next level, as we continue to seek value-added products and services to make WireNine an even more attractive choice for web hosting in this competitive market.”

All existing and new customers are able to take advantage of R1Soft backups at no additional charge.

WireNine offers a variety of configurations in shared hosting, reseller hosting, semi-dedicated servers, and dedicated servers. WireNine houses its servers in the SoftLayer datacenter near downtown Dallas, Texas.

Founded in 2004, WireNine is a privately owned provider of Linux-based cPanel web hosting services for small to medium sized businesses.
