WP Engine has extended its footprint with Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers in Canada. WP Engine, which has headquarters in Austin, Texas, United States, was established in 2010. The company offers the “leading digital experiences platform on WordPress” and with over 500,000 web experiences globally, “5% of the web visits a site on WP Engine’s platform every day”. Building on availability in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, additional AWS data center availability across North America will prove a significant benefit to its more than 60,000 customers.
Recently recognized as an “Amazon Advanced Technology Partner”, WP Engine leverages a “WordPress-optimised AWS architecture” to offer its fully managed services. With a network of data centers in a number of global locations, its customers benefit from “multi-zone redundancy”. Eliminating single points of failure, WP Engine also offers “the best uptime protection” and protection from a variety of cyber risks. By enabling customers to choose data centers near their visitors, WP Engine’s Enterprise Cluster plans help customers reduce latency and improve SEO. Its customers inside Canada can now choose locations within the country and adhere to its data sovereignty requirements.
