xWeb Hosting Provider HostIgnition adds Private JVM Option to Four Hosting Plans

November 30, 2006
November 30, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider HostIgnition (http://www.hostignition.com) has added a Private JVM option four of its hosting plans, the company announced yesterday. The move was a response to demand for Private JVM which is now available on an additional fee basis though its LiteFire, ProFire, and EliteFire plans, and free of charge through its MegaFire plan.

Previously JSP and Java servlet applications were hosted on a shared JVM environment. This caused occasional performance fluctuations when traffic peaked or when certain applications used resources excessively. It also meant that it was necessary to contact the company’s technical support to get a Tomcat server restarted and recompile JSP scripts or reload development descriptors. Private JVM means customers own a “dedicated JVM instance” for their own applications. This improves performance and stability alongside a range of other benefits including full Classpath control.

Established over 6 years, HostIgnition offers Linux website hosting to a worldwide customer base. The company’s suite of services includes reseller options. All HostIgnition services offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
