Yahoo Works $1 Billion Deal with Chinese AliBaba.com
August 12, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Following on the heels of investment deals in China made by Internet heavy-weights Google, Microsoft, and Ebay, Yahoo has made a $1 billion dollar investment to take a 40 percent share in Chinese company AliBaba.com, China's largest e-commerce company. The deal was announced Thursday in Beijing as the largest foreign investment in a Chinese technology company ever.
