The worst hosting
Hello,

I actually have my site here and it was the worst selection.
Actually my site is down after weeks to be ok.
They said that its my fault but I have not change it.

Any way, the best part was when I ask for a backup ... They charge 25 for res


Company Response: Hi Gabriel, sorry about your problems with third-party apps. Re: db backups, we provide a tool to do backups yourself and even an API to automate the process. So when we have to manually retrieve a backup, yes, I'm afraid we have to charge a fee for that.

I have been a customer for a number of years and, after a technical issue I had recently I felt moved to record my appreciation. The problem turned out to have nothing to do with DiscountASP.NET hosting but was more to do with my ISPs use of DNS caching.

I see a response that discountasp emails you before cutting you off. I was cut off arbitrarily after paying a one year pre-pay. I've been cut off for several days, and am receiving no help or response from discountnet.com. No prior notice given.

Company Response: Hi Tom. We did not stop your service. Your domain name, which was not registered through us, expired. As for offering no help, I see 4 tickets about the issue where our staff is patiently explaining that you need to renew your domain name.

I think the service is horrible. They automatically renew your annual membership fee...which is fine...but, in my case, my credit card was stolen and they could not bill it successfully. They suspended my account even though I paid it with another c/c!

Company Response: Sovay, we email and call when payments fail, but you didn't respond to our attempts to contact you (until the account was suspended). Had you entered a new card # in Control Panel after the original card was stolen, we could have avoided this problem.
