There uptime is definately not 99%. It is more like 65%-70%. Support is the worst. No phone support - Email support takes 12 - 24 hours and chat support is rarely turned on. It would be a good price if support and server/network speed were good.

Have hosted 4 web sites on Host Department over past 5 years. Started out great, but they have gone down hill fast! Live Chat support is very weak, Email support is terrible. Uptime service is no longer 99% - and Network status rarely up to date.

22 site outages in 3 months. Put on another server at end of June 2008 and has been slow or not working for past 12 days.

This host is flat out terrible. Good for bloggers, maybe, but useless for businesses. The MySQL database has been down literally 30% of the time, and is sluggish at all times. It is impossible to get work done at any reasonable level of productivity.

They are okay, but it would be wise to register with a better company like Netfirms or 1&1. They screwed up my domain name and it took them a month to get it working again, I would not recommend them for any services other than real lousy domain services.

Mail server is overloaded, support which is overseas is polite, but very slow. Overall it is an ureliable host, with overloaded mail servers. Had to move to another host just to get mail promptly.
