Under new owner ship
The company was sold in Nov 2013 and has turned around immensely. They upgraded every piece of hardware to a new cloud based architecture so no more hardware issues. Support is lightning fast and you can even talk to server admins who have a clue.

Downward spiral...
I've built over 25 sites over past 10 years w/ Hostgo. Not sure what happened but their service over the past 2 years has taken a dump. Poor customer service, crashed several sites due to their "hardware issues". Better services exist do not use them.

3+ yrs -- occasional minor problems, but resolved quickly. Email support responds in a few hours. Haven't tried them for Miva with this host. Had trouble with POP3 reliability, but I bugged them about it and they moved me to more reliable server – now OK.

Everything was fine until they had a hardware failure. From then on, it was all downstream. They blew it!
Company Response: We had a hard drive failure on the server that the customer's site was hosted on. The failure required us to restore the server from backups. We understand that the problem was very inconvenient, so a credit was given to the user for the downtime.

Complete lack of support for their shopping cart Miva Mercant. They put me out of business less than 24 hours after going live and could not solve the problem. They stopped even responding to support request. A horrible E commerce site stay away!
Company Response: The Miva Merchant PayPal module was not posting transactions to PayPal. To resolve the problem, we purchased a third party PayPal module for the customer. Please visit the customer's site, you'll see that his Miva Merchant store is working correctly.
