Thanks and kudos to Ms Veronica Bacon who saved the day for me.
Attempting to switch 'packages' within WHUK, I got completely stuck. What should have been a smooth process was obstructed by probably my own misunderstanding but also by limited, occasionally conflicting information at different times from the Tech Support Team. To their credit the responses were always prompt, friendly and all really tried to be helpful. Perhaps they over-estimated my skills.... But it was only Ms Bacon who immediately understood and identified the problems, guided me patiently and clearly through several processes and solved the various problems. She turned me from an irate, frustrated customer to a grateful one. WHUK is fortunate to have her on their team.

I've used a few but...
I've never known downtime like it. This will generally occur around once every two days. It may only be for a few minutes, but if you are coding and try to save midway through the downtime you can lose all your work. Unfortunately, I am in too much contact with their support. The usual line is my IP is blacklisted, which for a static IP is just not a good enough excuse. They then whitelist it only for it to get blocked again somewhere down the line. I just can't trust this server host at all and when my contract is up I'll be moving to somewhere that is trusted. If you're a developer and have a few sites on your server space, steer clear of this.

I purchased a product that my friend who was helping me with the website felt inappropriate. You helped me return the product and set me up with the correct one. Thank you. I chose WHUK because of their 24/7 customer support: I actually called them to test their response times before signing up.
I have to say that I have not been disappointed, quite the opposite. With the exception of the occasional crackly phone line, the helpfulness of the people I have spoken to has been excellent.
Domain issues are not my area of expertise at all, but they have guided me through it and been very patient every time. Thank you!
