March 23, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Canada Web Hosting recently announced a partnership with Syncsort, Inc. to upgrade its managed disaster recovery services to ‘enterprise-class’. The company now provides data backups and recoveries with each managed hosting solution.
According to Canada Web Hosting its choice of partner was based on a requirement for a “robust, high performance solution from a data protection vendor with a proven record in the managed hosting industry.” Both Syncsort and their Backup Express file and block-level backup technology met these requirements.
Canada Web Hosting manages backups to its local Storage Area Networks (SANs) for Linux, Windows, MySQL, Postgress, SQL Server, Oracle and Exchange. The company also offers greater data protection by storing data at two separate datacenters. "The efficient and secure transfer of backups between Toronto and Vancouver using Backup Express gives companies the data security they require for their business continuity plans especially when combined with geographically diverse hosting architectures featuring data replication, DNS failover or global load balancing techniques," suggested Kelly Beardmore, a Senior Sales Executive at Canada Web Hosting.
