Dedicated hosting provider
ReliableSite has enhanced Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack protection capabilities for server administrators managing its dedicated servers. The new level of service includes an “advanced set of controls” that allows users to protect against mitigation for “specific applications”.
Established in 2006, ReliableSite is recognized as a leader in dedicated hosting. It utilizes “fully-redundant” data centers both in New York City’s metro area and in Miami, Florida. Its services are underpinned by a 100% uptime guarantee. Offered free of charge, the enhancements to its DDoS protection capabilities allow administrators to “filter” traffic from individual IPs. In addition, administrators are allowed to determine “attack size limits” to avoid blocking regular traffic when DDoS threats are being addressed.
ReliableSite has been offering free DDoS attack protection to customers in the New York City area since 2014. Each of the company’s servers now offers up to 10 Gbps of protection without additional cost. The proprietary controls the company offers protect applications with “unique traffic patterns”. This in turn protects user from false DDoS attack alerts which, potentially, can block a website’s usual traffic.
“Our DDoS protection must become more sophisticated as internet security becomes more complicated,” explained ReliableSite’s CEO and founder, Radic Davydov. “We are giving our customers all of the tools to defend against evolving online threats.”
