May 24, 2005 - (HOSTSEARCH.COM) - Web hosting services provider, Hosting ZOOM, announced today that it has upgraded its shared and reseller hosting plans by increasing the amount of storage and traffic included without increasing the price.
"We were able to make a significant increase in the amount of storage and traffic included in our hosting plans while keeping our prices intact. This gives our customers the opportunity to expand their web operations and grow their business without increasing their costs," said Kiet Duong, President of Hosting ZOOM.
Hosting ZOOM has increased the amount of storage and traffic allotment in its $4.95 Standard Plan to 2.5 GB of disk storage and 65 GB of bandwidth. The $8.95 a month Advanced Plan now offers 4 GB of disk space and 100 GB of bandwidth.
Additionally, reseller plans get a 50% increase in bandwidth. Hosting ZOOM ensures data integrity by providing RAID 1 disk configuration by providing clients with complete redundancy and fault tolerance.
That Hosting ZOOM has doubled the disk space it offers and nearly doubled its monthly bandwidth allotment shows the pressure that is currently on web hosts to reduce their prices following big gains in market share from domain registrars entering the industry like Go Daddy and the flood of low cost or free plans that have entered the market in just this month alone.
Continuing increases in technology should continue to push web hosting services for all but the most high-end sites towards a general merger with the services provided by ISPs. i.e. desktop computers that are powerful enough to be servers and out-of-the-box site design and management software will alleviate the need for a 3rd party to host the majority of web sites within the next 5-10 years.
