August 8, 2006 (HOSTSEARCH.COM) Web hosting provider IPOWER (http://www.ipower.com) has leased a new data center, the company announced recently. The center is located in Phoenix, USA and has over $7 million dollars of built-in infrastructure.
IPOWERs 32,000+ square-foot data center has a range of amenities including proximity card reader and centralized security monitoring, managed smart card entrance into controlled zones, video intercom system and biometric hand scanners for security. The center also offers monitoring of 2000 data points through a Datatrax Monitoring System, direct APS feed and ac/dc power backup through a CAT 2000 ekW, 2500 KVA standby generator. In addition the center has a range of environmental controls.
"We are very pleased to add this data center to our group of centers," says Thomas Gorny, CEO of IPOWER, who notes that IPOWER now has four data centers in total. "Its state-of-the-art capabilities will bring an even higher level of service to our customers than ever before."
