Was SO-SO before ownership change; now, VERY POOR, do not recommend
I have been with iPower for about 4 years. Bill (above commenter) is right: live chats have become a joke with scripted, irrelevant replies and long holds. The web builder tool is useless, file structure is complex, and too expensive.

IPower no longer good. Tech support is a nightmare.
I agree with all of the negative comments. I am an IT guy, programmer and web master. I need specific technical answers when I chat. The tech support used to be OK, but has become a joke. Often I just get a pasted in irrelevant script from some dummy.

Tech Support & Cost
Have not been with iPower long enough to rate the stars but we had a middle man with iPower, unfortunately he did not pay his domain costs and we were shut down. iPower did a wonderful job getting us back up - $4.95 month, THANKS iPower

Worst support ever
For the size and the price of the hosting the support is terrible. Although you can access billing and tech support through their live chat system the actual techs are never available. It takes days to fix a simple issue. Frequent down time. Avoid!

Good hosting
IPower is a decent hosting company. Only thing I wish they did that some other hosting do is access my database from my desktop.

AWFUL
iPower frequently tries to double bill using a duplicate account they always promise has been deleted. They cut off services you have paid for this way, by claiming nonpayment. Services are slow & email box sizes inadequate anyway. Horrible company.

Used to be a good company, until they got bought out-now HORRIBLE
I was with IPowerWeb for nearly 10 years, and until they got bought out, I was happy. Suddenly all my email became blocked by spamblockers, because IPowerWeb started allowing spammers. No help. Switched to InMotion Hosting, and never looked back!

Terrible support; terrible user interface. Find somebody else.
Client control panel is terrible and non-intuitive. Customer service reps are argumentative bullies who blame all problems on the user. They are likely to use your credit card for unauthorized purchases. Avoid this company.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!
If you're considering going with iPower for anything (hosting or web design) don't! I manage a site created and hosted by them and cannot count the problems and fights I've had with them. And getting help is like pulling teeth. Don't... just don't.
