Cirrus Tech has included SharePoint services in select Hosted Exchange plans, it was reported recently. The Canadian company, which bills itself as “a global provider of web hosting and Hosted Exchange services”, has made the move to attract a larger share of the increasing hosted Exchange market.
According to Cirrus Tech, SharePoint Services 3.0 allows users to “increase team productivity, collaboration, and sharing” through a range of templates that can be customized to meet an organization’s needs. The solution allows users manage documents online and provides a cost-effective foundation for building web-based applications and deploying solutions tailored to a business’ particular processes. All of this is done online, with users logging into a SharePoint site through a web browser.
Cirrus Tech’s Hosted Exchange plan also offers an advanced business class email service, and can purchase a SharePoint Services plan separately from a hosted exchange plan. SharePoint Service plans start with 500 MB of storage space and go up to 50 GB of space.
