Web Host HostPapa and Python Software Foundation Partner
Web host HostPapa, Inc. (HostPapa) and the Python Software Foundation (PSF) have formed a partnership. HostPapa, which has headquarters in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, offers services powered by 100% renewable energy. These services extend to cloud offerings and web hosting services. HostPapa caters for around 500,000 websites and predominantly caters to small businesses around the world. It is committed to providing “a complete array of enterprise-grade solutions to every small business owner”. News of its partnership with the PSF comes on the heels of a recent partnership with digital certificates provider the ‘Let's Encrypt’.

Established in 2001, the PSF’s mission is to “promote, protect, and advance” the Python programming language. The non-profit organization supports Python growth within a global community of Python programmers. The foundation also offers grants for conferences, user groups, and global Python development activity. It also oversees PyCon US - the “primary Python community conference”. HostPapa will directly support the PSF’s global efforts.

"HostPapa believes that open-source software development plays a critical role in the development of apps and platforms today," explained the CEO and Founder of HostPapa, Jamie Opalchuk. "So that's why we are so excited about partnering with Python - to be able to support the development and promotion of their programming language, and help to expose Python to as many potential users as possible."
