Host Color LLC (Host Color) has announced the launch of new managed cloud infrastructure packages. Host Color, which has headquarters in South Bend, Indiana, United States, was established in 2003 and has a European division - Host Color Europe. The company offers a broad range of hosting-related services including colocation, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), dedicated hosting, disaster recovery, and a number of managed services. Its new fully managed cloud infrastructure service will be available through its “Midwest U.S. data center” located in South Bend.
Host Color’s ‘Managed Public Cloud Servers’ are available with the company’s public, private and hybrid clouds. They can operate either a Windows or Linux-based operating systems and can be used for a number of purposes including “hosting of websites, mail servers and various software applications”. They are “configured on demand” so organizations can migrate the workloads they need for their business functions to the cloud. Host Color’s ‘Private Clouds’ focus on security and are available through a VPS interface that is not available to the public. As with the other types of managed cloud service available, Host Color’s ‘Hybrid Clouds’ are “hosted on top of the Host Color’s Cloud Computing infrastructure built with VMware ESXi – arguably the world’s most reliable virtualization technology.” Each option offers antivirus and anti-spam protection, system reboots, ongoing support, data backups and regular security updates.
“Managed Clouds means that we provide technical support from A to Z, from planning and setting up any Cloud instance to backing it up and recovering it whenever necessary,” explained Dimitar Avramov, the founder and CEO of Host Color. “In terms of quality the Host Color’s Cloud Infrastructure services match those of the ‘Major Clouds’. However, unlike them we don’t charge for technical support on our Unmanaged Cloud service plans. The infrastructure support is included and is always 24/7”, he added.
