I cant say about Host-ed ssd host's prices - they are competitive and worth every penny.
These guys has also nice selection of scripts. They go above and beyond what you come to expect from a hosting company.

Excellent customer service
I have no technical knowledge therefore can not say anything about Host-ed servers, network, etc. However, I can say something about the people - the owner of the host and the members of their support team and nice gentlemen and very friendly.

The best in Host-ed is support
Some of my sites are Drupal, so database speed is important. Best support ever! They will help you with anything be it Scripts, Billing, or the server itself. I really love Host-ed.net easy to use control panel.

The pricing plan is good
Host-ed provide a very cost-effective solution for small web-sites, provide MySQL and PHP support, and as far as I have experienced have a good record on up-time and accessibility. Their billing/renewal etc. has always been impeccable.

Fastest ever setup.
Honestly, I haven't noticed any down time, that I remember. Any time I have had any questions, or needed support, their support team has been excellent at providing prompt and courteous answers.

I really appreciate Host-ed for its hosting solutions on web. Before I have tested 3 hosting providers but was not satisfied. I left my last hosting company because they repeatedly made a mess of billing and servers went down a lot.
