DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE EVER!!!!
DO NOT BUY HOST KOALA FOR HOSTING!!!

THEY SUSPENDED MY SERVICE FOR A REVIEW AND THEN REFUSED TO LET ME MIGRATE 2 YEARS WORTH OF POSTS AND DATA OFF MY DOMAINS. All because I left an unfavorable review criticizing problems I have been having.

Let me tell you why. First, they will blame you if something goes wrong on their end. For example, they keep blocking my IP from accessing my server because (They say I'm logging in with the wrong password). Then they completely block my IP and I have to send in a ticket to log into the panel OR EVEN VISIT MY DOMAIN.

After sending a ticket in they take 8+ Hours to respond to an emergency ticket. Usually, its around 24 hours, so there are 24 hours you cannot access your website or server. They have this stupid firewall called "Immunify" they claim I'm entering my email password in the wrong, I have no e-mail clients that are entering in a password AT ALL, I have no clue what's wrong with them. They will not disable Immunify, sometimes on your server, you have to complete a captcha to get EMAIL.

Can you imagine the experience your customers/browsers on your site get from having to fill out a captcha just to view something on your site?

They refuse to help besides "You're welcome to a refund pro-rated of course, we don't care about your 24-hour downtime and we will not disable the program that makes the user fill in a captcha just to view your site".

What an absolutely horrible experience. This latest time the support person claims I did not get blocked, yet the moment she replied I was magically unblocked from the server again. Ughh horrible experience.

We have been with Host Koala for several years reselling their products. Their servers have been consistently reliable and perform well enough on small to medium sites for our end users. Support has always been quick and helpful.

Best for small websites
Everything started really good with Host Koala. I didn't experience any downtime initially, and it seemed like it was the best money I ever spent. I quickly moved all my websites there, but then came the nightmare.

When my website was getting a bit more traffic (we're talking 50-60 viewers a day) things just got weird. My website would be shutdown multiple times a day and when I contacted supported they almost ALWAYS talked with a "passive aggressive" and kept telling me that my website is using too much resources. I get it, shared hosting isn't meant for websites that are big, but how on earth would you not be able to handle 50 to 60 viewers?

And at one point they did a hard reset on one of my plans and told me that one of the websites was infected with malware. Cool, but doesn't that speak of their lack of ability to handle these things?

It's a great service/host and I found them responsive honestly, and when I needed a port to be unlocked they refused of course but they checked first.

My advice: be very wary with them, and never put all your eggs in one basket.

Perfect Hosting Provider 10/10!!!
Randomly came across HostKoala on Reddit and I'm so glad I did. They're super affordable. But don't have a live chat, so that's the only down side, but what do you expect with the price you pay. Nonetheless, their support team goes above and beyond.

Amazing
The best 2 dollar hosting a year ever.
There has been no downtime on my offshore hosting in the past 15 months. Support answers under an hour. Billing is smooth and easy and accounts are activated upon payment. Network speeds do not seem throttled.

Excellent uptime & reliability. Servers are not oversold at all. I have experienced no downtime, or any timeouts so far. I've used other budget providers at the sub 10/year range, and some time out but are "reachable"
