Excellent hosting company.
My 2nd year just started. Great reliable Xeon E5+SSD, the best combo for shared hosting. For 365 days I had only 1 major issues and it was resolved for about 1h. Tech support is spotty, but it is ok. I have the Tiny package. IP is $2/m (1 of the cheapest)

crash and burn
this company started off great, although there were always downtime issues. the customer service is terrible now. non-responsive. the billing department is no longer available via phone or chat.

Going downhill really quickly
Been with A Small Orange for years and now they are part of EIG and things go bad quickly.
Went from customer service times of like 15 minutes to now closer to 16 hours.
And in December alone we have multiple day downtimes.

I've been very happy the whole time I've been at ASO. If you have any issues, their support is fast and helpful. The uptime is also very good, probably because they don't overload the servers.

Outstanding support and a stable and reliable solution to hosting needs. My domains have been with ASO for more than two years now. I think of other hosting companies but would not think of changing.

I moved my sites to A Small Orange in December 2006 after experiencing frustration with one thing or another with 4 other hosting services. I cannot imagine any reason to leave ASO. Their tech support is the best I've ever seen.
