Avoid Gate.com at all costs
I was a Gate.com customer for over 20 years (back when they were Hostway). This year, my VPS became corrupted, and technical support was unable to fix the problem. They set-up a new VPS, but it couldn't support the basic version of PHP required by Wordpress.
Gate suggested I go to one of their "sister companies" instead. They refunded me for the original VPS, but they claim I didn't respond to a cancelation request for the second VPS - even though I confirmed the request to agents by phone multiple times.
Over 5 months, I've lost track of the number of hours talking to their support or customer service reps. There are some good people there, but the overall service and experience have been completely abysmal.
Services Period: Active customer at the time of review. Customer since January, 2001
