Avoid like the plague
I have been a customer of Network Solutions since 1999 and for the first several years they were a top-notch registrar and service provider. Since being purchase by Web.com, however, their service has been continually declining.
I am an IT professional and performed all of my configuration and management tasks with very little help from Network Solutions, so I rarely needed to interact with their customer service personnel. I recently retired and when my in-house Microsoft Exchange server failed I opted for Hosted Exchange through Network Solutions - that was a major mistake.
After paying over $600.00 for the service three days ago I have yet to be able to access email. Worse, the customer service personnel behave as if they do not want to be bothered with providing any assistance. No one has been overtly rude; they just don't care.
I have worked in IT for over 30 years and I could easily manage all of my own web site and email solutions, but it is quite a bit of work and I would like to enjoy my retirement. I thought offloading some of those tasks to a major service provider with years of experience and very up-to-date equipment and technology would be a way to free up time for other pursuits. That obviously was mistake.
