Look elsewhere for service
Very dissappointed by the poor service & attitude. My webpage went down when we tried to upload a new page. The owner basically told me it was not his problem. I lost out on the whole xmas season. I finally had to move elsewhere.

They used to be great, but I would never use them now
A loyal customer who referred clients to them for over 15 years, until they shut down my entire account over suspected spam, and didn't bother to let me know. They didn't apologize when it turned out not to be me, and didn't care that I was cancelling.

Holding our data hostage
One of our wordpress sites got hacked with a script sending out spam and instead of contacting us with the problem, they locked our account disabling all of the websites on our account. Now they want to charge us $300 for a data transfer.

Great until Jul 08. Thy changed; did not notify; and now nothing works (email, cgis, etc). Quinn, the owner has not been responsive by email. we have had a medical impact due to this unannounced disruption and poor response! . Did butDo not recommend!

Company Response: We remember this instance dealing with server updates needed for resolution of the DNS poisoning issue. Because of QWK.net's flexibility, not all hiccups could be predicted but timely response is crucial to us and all issues were timely resolved.

QWK is great except when they shut down all your web sites, email, ftp and mysql access with no prior warning. I have been for the past 5 years with qwk and twice they suspended my 15 different client web sites. Once for an email thought to be spam (wich)

Company Response: We do not take account suspension lightly, We only suspend for one of 3 reasons. (1) Violation of Customer hosting agreement. (2) U.C.E./SPAM abuse. (3) Non-payment.

I've been hosting with qwk.net for more than five years, and have always found them to be extremely reliable in terms of server uptime and tech support. Server issues have been rare, but when they occur Quinn and his staff have been very responsive.

As with anything in life you get what you pay for. Shared hosting is horrible. Our website has been down 3 times this past week, because of out of control scripts. Outage lasted 1-3 hours each time. Unbelievable!

Company Response: Thank you for your review. I always appreciate customer review, good or bad. The server that are on has had customer abuse over the past 2 weeks. We have isolated several customer scripting problems and helped the customer resolve them. Here are the actual stats: 2 incidents totaling 14min 40 seconds in the past 24 hours, a total of 4 incidents in the past 3 days totaling an total of 24min 30 seconds, in 8 issues in the past 12 days customer scripting problems have caused a total of 1hr 3min and 51 second of downtime. This is truly out of the normal operation of our servers and we are actively pursuing all buggy scripts that are on your server. Part of what makes your site work, is the flexibility that we allow our customers. Unfortunately, this same flexibility creates a situation where a customer can knowingly or un-knowingly implement a buggy script.
