‘Pure-play’ IaaS Hosting Provider 3W Infra Adds 1,000 Servers in 6 Months
‘Pure-play’ IaaS hosting provider 3W Infra now manages 4,000 dedicated servers, an increase of 1,000 in only 6 months. 3W Infra, which was established in 2014, has headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The company provides scalable and cost-efficient customized hosting and network infrastructures. It offers cloud-enabled services which include dedicated servers, colocation, and IP transit options, and these services are offered with 3WInfra’s Remote Hands engineering services through the Internet hubs of Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London.

3W Infra caters to a global customer base with a “dynamic array” of requirements. These include some of Europe’s largest Internet, broadcasting and cloud services companies. The company’s global network now exceeds 160 Gigabit/sec (Gbps) of available bandwidth and with 30% growth in its dedicated server activity, 3W Infra has experienced significant growth since launch. The company puts its growth down to its IP Transit proposition, which includes its own high-volume global network. 3W Infra’s dedicated servers are located in its purpose-built data center located at the Tier 4 Switch AMS1 in Amsterdam. The data center meets “enterprise-grade standards and high-density requirements” and is designed for “high energy-efficiency and sustainability” with a proprietary energy-efficient cooling system.

“3W Infra’s pure-play IaaS approach implies that we’re not doing cloud ourselves, for example, although our enterprise-grade engineering services do ‘enable’ systems integrators, hosting providers and cloud services providers alike when implementing their state-of-the-art cloud infrastructures,” explained 3W Infra’s Managing Director, Roy Premchand. “It’s for sure that this IT Channel-focused approach influences our growth rate, as it creates a flywheel effect when it comes to adding dedicated servers in our racks. For our IaaS hosting customers, it’s very clear that we don’t touch their cloud services accounts because we don’t deliver cloud ourselves. We only facilitate them when implementing the hosting infrastructure underneath.”
