September 2, 2006
September 2, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Rack-Soft (http://www.4psa.com) has released 4PSA VoipNow 1.2 VoIP Control Panel for hosting providers and ISPs, the company announced recently. The control panel offers a range of new features and interoperability options. The launch comes after two weeks of public beta testing.

The telephony software solution is designed for Linux systems and provides “cost-effective, advanced VoIP services to residential and business customers”. The system has few hardware requirements and offers superior management features and can be installed easily.

It is three months since the first 4PSA VoipNow public release. The new version’s key feature is the IVR (Interactive Voice Response) functionality which allows customers to design “auto attendants” using a web-based interface. The system also offers debug and graphic visualization tools simplifying troubleshooting processes. It also comes with a Fax Center option that is available on any phone extension detecting fax calls, receiving and saving them in PDF format.

"The new version introduces a SOAP based communication API. It is possible to create, edit, and delete user accounts, adjust user permissions, setup extension’s features, etc using a standard API interface that can be contacted over HTTP. Any billing application, account sign-up program, custom control panel, etc can interact with 4PSA VoipNow," added Bogdan Carstoiu, 4PSA VoipNow architect.
