In January 2009 Advantage Interactive Ltd. completed the construction of a £2 million state-of-the-art data centre in Hertfordshire. Since the construction, the data centre has undergone rigorous testing to ensure the highest levels of performance and efficiency have been achieved.

For example, Denco’s Ambicool cooling system, which uses indirect free cooling by utilising the cold external air during the winter and colder months, has been implemented into the data centre. This cooling system has been combined with Minkel’s “Cold Aisle Enclosure”, vastly increasing cooling efficiency by only cooling within a specific enclosure and not the data hall as a whole.
Boost said, “Minkel’s Cold Aisle Corridor system and Denco’s Ambicool cooling system has provided us with savings of up to 40% on energy costs when compared to a traditional data centre.
“By choosing to locate outside of London we have protected ourselves from the rapidly increasing power costs which London based data centres have to incur, allowing us to offer customers extremely competitive prices on all of our colocation and managed hosting solutions.”
