Amazon Web Services Confirmed as IP EXPO 2013 Sponsor
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been confirmed as a sponsor of IP EXPO 2013, an Imago Techmedia event to be held October 16-17, 2013 at the Earls Court 2 arena in London. 250 exhibitors and 14,000 attendees are expected to attend over the two days of the event.

IP EXPO covers a wide range of areas including networks, storage, virtualization, cloud, and security, applications, as well as communications. It is recognized as one of the main IT events on the industry's calendar, and Amazon Web Services' support underscores its importance. The is the first time AWS has sponsored an event held in the United Kingdom. Other partners include industry heavyweights such as ShoreTel, AppSense, Juniper, IBM, VMWare, Citrix and TalkTalk Business.

The fact that AWS has chosen to showcase its cloud services at IP EXPO was described as a "real coup" by Managing Director of event organizer Imago Techmedia, Mr. Hugh Keeble.

AWS will have its own "Partner Area" at the event and offer an education program alongside the "Amazon Web Services Lab". The area will allow visitors to meet AWS cloud experts alongside the showing of business, technical and live demonstrations. Visitors to the area will also receive input on how the company's cloud-based services can benefit businesses and help them save money. AWS partners will also be present to promote AWS business on a "one-on-one basis".

"Attending IP EXPO augments the AWS events programme we currently run in the UK and Europe. We spend a lot of time meeting customers and helping them migrate to the AWS cloud," explained AWS's Marketing Manager, Amazon EU Sarl, Marcello Bellinaso. "Attending this event gives us another opportunity to meet with UK and European businesses that are eager to move to AWS."
