R1Soft Continuous Data Protection® (CDP) into all of its Cloud Hosting offerings.
Atlantic Metro will use R1Soft’s high-performance CDP server backup software to protect clients’ mission-critical data on Windows, Linux, and MySQL servers. With R1Soft’s next-generation CDP backup technology clients will benefit from single file restore capabilities which provide a higher degree of flexibility, and a reliable, easy-to-use backup interface which helps eliminate downtime in the event of a disaster.

Continuous Data Protection® is a system of disk-based backups that bypass the file system to read data at the block level for ultra high-performance even on the busiest servers. By only recording deltas of the changes since the last backup, CDP creates virtual full backups which can be scheduled around the clock. Compared to traditional backup technology where the delay is hours, days or even weeks between restore points, R1Soft CDP minimizes the lag time between backup restore points which will protect Atlantic Metro clients against significant data loss in the event of a disaster.
