October 15, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – The Audax Group (http://www.audaxgroup.com) has sold web host The Endurance International Group (http://www.enduranceinternational.com/) to Burlington, Massachusetts company Accel-KKR (http://www.accel-kkr.com/), it was announced recently. Endurance provides “subscription-based" shared web site hosting and related online applications and services to a customer base of 600,000 accounts through 24 brands.
Audax bought Endurance in May 2003 and integrated 17 add-on acquisitions before selling the company. "Steve Sydness and his team did an outstanding job working together with Audax to source and integrate 17 add-on acquisitions during our ownership period, building Endurance into a leader in the shared web hosting market. We wish Steve and his team continued success," explained Audax Group’s Co-CEO, Geoffrey S. Rehnert.
"It has been a great experience working with Audax Group,” added Endurance’s Chief Executive Officer, Steve Sydness. “Their expertise in sourcing, executing, and integrating add-on acquisitions was a key to helping us grow our business.
